Every week a hundred
stories, if not a thousand, illustrate the truth that the Bible is the most
relevant and reliable book on the school’s library shelf. Having been a preacher for almost 50 years,
it is my purpose to pick a story each week that illuminates the impact the
Bible has had, could have, or should have on “modern” mankind.
This week it is the
State of the Dissed-Union Speech. All of
the “talking heads” have analyzed Obama’s speech and have summed it up in four
words: BLAH…BLAH…BLAH…BLAH
An investigative
reporter of this blog has a secret source within the White House and has obtained
a copy of the 2015 State of the Union speech.
Without further ado, I am
going to reveal the salient points and give some Biblical analysis.
Here are the outstanding
points of next year’s State of the Union speech: BLAH…BLAH…BLAH…BLAH
Our secret source at
the White House has also obtained a copy of Obama’s 2016 State of the Union
speech. Here are the prominent points of
that speech: BLAH…BLAH…BLAH…BLAH
Nothing new or
newsworthy was in Obama’s State of the Dissed-Union speech, except that the
American people were dissed.
What does this have to
do with the Bible? Solomon said, “There is nothing new under the sun.” Ecclesiastes
1:9. When it comes to politics, nothing
has changed in thousands of years. Politicians are still repeating the same old
tired lies because people are still believing those lies.
Jeremiah 5:30-31 says, “A
wonderful and horrible things is committed in the land; The prophets prophesy
falsely, and the priest bear rule by their means; and my people love to have it
so: and what will ye do in the end thereof?”
The prophet describes a
paradox. Something has happened that is both “wonderful and horrible.” What is this wonderful and horrible thing? The leading preachers are preaching lies…blah…blah…blah…blah. That is the horrible thing! But the amazing thing is that the people love
it!
The horrible thing is
that the leading political leaders are making the same old promises…blah…blah…blah…blah. Notice that verse 26 says, “…they set a trap,
they catch men…” How? The same old lies! Verse 28 implies that they have promised to “judge
the fatherless and to help the needy.”
Instead they “bear rule
by any means.” This means that they have used a heavy hand and heavy
taxes. These rulers had made life harder
for the people they had promised to help.
That describes
Obamascare! It was supposed to help the
uninsured. It only made the life of
everyone harder.
That describes the
Stimulus and trillions of dollars of spending!
It was supposed to help the economy, but it has only made things worse.
That describes the
efforts to help the unemployed, but it only keeps them unemployed.
That describes the
efforts to raise the minimum wage. It is
supposed to help the underpaid, but it hurts everyone. I told a fellow worker that I had just
received a two dollar per hour cut in salary.
They looked stunned. I explained that every time the minimum wage is
raised, my salary goes down that much.
Everybody is hurt, including the underpaid!
That describes the last
five years…BLAH…BLAH…BLAH…BLAH.
However, the truly
amazing thing is that the low information voters…the dumbed-down Democrats…love
it. They thought Obama’s dis-the-Union speech was great.
The most ironic moment
in the speech was when Obama said that if Congress did not work with him that
he would use his “pen and phone” to go around Congress. He dissed the Congress, and the idiot
Democrats stood and cheered.
Obama dissed Congress…and
liberals loved it!
Obama dissed the
Constitution…and Democrats cheered!
Obama dissed American
liberty…and the political pundits cheered!
Beam me up, Scotty!
God asks the question, “What
shall ye do in the end thereof?” All of
these lies have an “end” or purpose.
What is the purpose of any lie? A
lie is always used to hide the truth. The
true motive is power. The true purpose is to take control. The true result of
these lies is slavery.
What are you going to
do when the end comes? What are you going to do when the liberals achieve their
true purpose? How will American throw
off the chains? Every empty political
promise is another link forged onto that chain.
Obama may dis Congress,
and he may dis America, but he will not dis God. Our Congress, President, political pundits,
and preachers need to read carefully verse 29.
“Shall I not visit for these things? saith the LORD.”
God will judge and
punish all liars!
God always has the last
word—whether liberals like it or not!
